Bill Desrochers to Run the 2018 Boston Marathon for the Hopkinton Public Library!
Bill is a lucky husband and proud father of three children, two in Hopkinton elementary schools and a baby at home. He’s a manager of a software engineering team at DTCC in Boston. More commonly known around town as “Coach Bill”, he spends some of his spare time coaching his kid’s sports teams, including baseball, softball, soccer, and basketball.
Since moving to Hopkinton in 2012, he and his family have watched the marathon every year. As a casual runner, he’s dreamed of running it, but never thought it would become a reality. With a little push from a friend, Taylor Blinn, great coaching from Ryan Davenport, and most of all, tremendous support from his wife, it’s all coming to fruition. He’s looking forward to proving to his children that you can do anything that you’re willing to work hard for. He’s also grateful for the opportunity to run for an organization that provides an invaluable service to Hopkinton residents.
