Phil Sargente to Run the 2017 Boston Marathon to Raise Money for the Restoration, Renovation and Expansion of Hopkinton Public Library

My name is Phil Sargente. I am excited to be running the 121st Boston Marathon in support of the Hopkinton Public Library. I have been involved in martial arts my whole life. Throughout my many years of training I have encountered and overcome numerous physical challenges along the way. This will be my first marathon! In the beginning stages of my training, I have come to admire those who have run in the past and aspire to be someone who has also conquered the 26.2 miles of the Boston Marathon.

My martial arts school, Next Generation Martial Arts, has been donating to the library fundraisers for quite a few years now. We understand the importance of updating and renovating the library. Thank you to the Hopkinton Public Library Foundation for giving me the opportunity to run the marathon and I am truly proud to be able help!
